Gather 'round folks, and let me tell you a little story:
Once upon a time when I still used to freguent Elfwood more than DA, I once came across an artist who went by the name Chael. He had done a whole lot of fabulous merfolk pics, and after a few days I scraped together the courage to e-mail him asking for a trade. He agreed, and I received his half, an hourglass-dolphin maid named Morgandy, fairly soon. But after that... I forgot the whole thing. And that was like two years ago. :dohtwo:

:stupidme: :!: HOW THE FUCK DOES ANYONE FORGET HAVING AN ART-TRADE UNDEWAY WITH AN ARTIST YOU GOD DAMN IDOLIZE? :!: :slamhead:

Then yesterday, as I was surfing around I suddenly came by ~Chael's DA gallery, and bang! Hello guilt, my old friend. So, after several attempts to hurt myself, I grabbed my sketchpad and started scribbling madly. And here you have the result.

Despite the underlying feeling of being a horrible person this was heaps of fun to draw. I tried to make it extra pretty to compensate for the long wait. I might also add that very unlike myself I did some actual research on fishes before setting to work. This little guy is a hybrid of one of those freaky deep-sea things, dragon fish I think they're called, and a rainbow cale. Glowy!

So, here's to you, Sorry it took so long.
If anyone needs me, I'll be curled up in a corner, sucking my thumb.

:nod: I can verify that Chael is a he, although not very well, and there still is a possibility that he might be female for all I know. But I've been going with male due, in part, to having looked up his name and its meaning and genderal orientation. (is genderal a word?) Anywho, I think it's purty snazzy myself. Keep at the drawing! It's looking great!

And it's also better than I could do using my sucky CG coloring skills on a program that isn't Photoshop... How I long for Photoshop... :cry:

He's really cute! I love all those glowy spots ^_^ and the squiggly edges of the fins

You know, that reminds me that I once promised someone a picture if they'd fetch me pizza..... oops dang XD

(btw, I thought Chael was a girl at first too...... ^_^;;;; )

:roll: Good luck with that. According to Robert Vavra's 'Unicorns I Have Known' unicorns can hit 84 m/h, and they can keep it up for hours.
