Concept - shadow familiars Lo-Dan n Pe-Rika

Bit of my own characters for a change. Lo-dan and Pe-Rika are Shadow Beasts. In my own fantasy 'verse many magic users have elemental based familiars and summons, and Lo-Dan and Pe-Rika's element is shadow. Lo-Dan's summoner is actually grandfather to Fauna, my green shapeshifter girl. See, I'm finally starting to tie all these random characters together in some small ways.

I even wrote a long-winded explanation of shadow beasts and how they're summoned and take form in the physical realm, but that was really just extra work to get my own thoughts in order.



I hesitated a long time in posting this. (I'm not kidding, the original psd file is dated July 2013.) The main issue was that the visual designs of these two characters lean heavily on the works of other artists, namely peanutchan's Godformers version of Lockdown, and Aiuke's Furformers Prowl.

Finally, I just decided that screw it, if anyone makes an issue of it I can say they're still pretty much in the first draft stage and subject to change if I get a better idea at any point. Their personalities are already completely different from the originals, anyway.
