Inspired by ~peanutchan's bugs. Flo the Luna Moth and Roja the Orchid Bee.
The bit with color was supposed to be just for getting the feel of the characters, but then I had to give Flo that shopping basket and now the whole thing is just full of Little Red Ridinghood-innuendo.
Then a simple, messy pencil thing. Flo needs some cuddles.
Next, a page of pen sketches. At least Roja knows that you're supposed to first buy the lady a drink. Chances of whatever is in that cup being stronger than anything Flo is used to: oh, yeah.
Every neat little moth knows that you must brush your fluff every day. What is Roja thinking? I'll leave that to you.
And a little comic thingy. Reads from right to left. (I'm left handed, it's easier for me to draw like that, so sue me.)
According to wikipedia, male orchid bees gather fragrant chemicals from flowers and store them in special grooves on their back legs, to be later used in courtship displays.
So he's a bee with built-in pockets!
I don't know why I have him saying hola, did I at some point think of making him spanish?

I think more than the creatures themselves here, I'm seeing a good example of form and function, because it reminds me quite heavily of recent work by Rikona and SiegeRedWolf featuring some transformers style fan arts.
No, I'm not saying what you've done looks exactly like what they're doing, but that the forms are similar. Segmented bodies and attached pieces/parts built around a humanoid form start following particular anatomical rules, and having seen several examples recently, I equally appreciate the work you've put into your sketches here.
